Hotel De Draak continues to build on its future



This year and the coming year are all about innovations. Parts of the hotel and the restaurant will be extensively renovated this year. With the relocation of the reception, a new open kitchen, an additional restaurant area and a new cocktail bar, we are increasing the level of service for our guests and ensuring an experience that matches our ambitions.

In the meantime, the reception has found its new place. In the Joriszaal, two new counters have been created for checking in and out. Of course, equipped with contemporary furnishings and decoration.

The biggest adjustment will take place up to and including January 2024. The Meizaal will be converted into an open kitchen with a functionality for a breakfast buffet. The kitchen will be completely gas-free, have the most modern equipment and will be completely 'in view' for our restaurant and hotel guests with a glass facade.



The Albrecht Dürer Hall is being renovated, guests can take a look into the kitchen at the chefs tables. This will certainly enhance the experience of dining at the highest level. 16 Guests can follow every movement of the kitchen brigade directly, from the preparation of the dishes to the presentation of the plates.

Here is a glimpse into our Albrecht Dürer room, where the breakfast buffet used to be. This will be the room where we serve our guests the aperitif and amuses, while you can follow all the work in our new, ultramodern kitchen. This room can also be reserved for groups of at least 10 to 16 people. The antique Slavonian oak panelling in this room is being restored by Van Lammeren; a Bergen op Zoom company specialised in this type of work. They are also involved in restoration work in the Binnenhof.

The Bar, "Fancy drinks and bites"

In the first 2 months of next year (2024), the former Hemingway restaurant will be converted into a cocktail and wine bar. A welcome addition that ensures that we can let our guests experience what hospitality and gastronomic enjoyment means to us with various catering concepts.

We have gained inspiration for the display and interior design from various national and international bars. In addition to special cocktails and fine wines by the glass, cold and warm dishes are served of a culinary high standard.
