Grand Hotel de Draak is the oldest hotel and also the oldest establishment in the Netherlands, housed in a complex of monumental buildings, the beating heart of which is so old that no one knows how old. Since June 16, 2022, De Draak has been a Purveyor to the Royal Household.

“It is a privilege that our hotel has been awarded this. It is not something that can be taken for granted; the company is screened on aspects such as: does it comply with the law and regulations, what is the function of the company in the region (social, economic, exemplary function). And is the company financially healthy, what does the future look like and is the entrepreneur of impeccable conduct. My family and I are proud and honored, but the fact that we have passed the rigorous screening is partly due to the merit of our employees and the many entrepreneurs who have preceded me in De Draak since 1397,” says director-owner Frans Hazen.
