Hotel De Draak continues to build
2023 is all about renewal. Parts of the hotel and restaurant will be undergoing major renovations this year. With the repositioning of the reception, a new open kitchen, an additional restaurant area and a new cocktail bar, we will increase the service level for our guests and provide an experience that matches our ambitions.
The new reception area
In the meantime, the reception has been moved and received its new location. Two new counters have been created in the Joriszaal for the check-in and check-out. Of course, equipped with contemporary furnishings and decoration.
Kitchen Restaurant 1397
Until January 2024, the biggest adjustments will take place. The Meizaal will be converted into an open kitchen with functionality for breakfast buffets. The kitchen will be completely gas-free, have state-of-the-art equipment and will be fully 'in view' for our restaurant and hotel guests with a glass front.
The Albrecht Dürer room will be remodelled, guests will be able to glimpse directly into the kitchen at chefs' tables. This will certainly enhance the experience of top-level dining. 16 Guests can directly follow every move of the kitchen brigade, from the preparation of the dishes to the preparation of the plates.
The Bar, "Fancy drinks and bites"
In the first two months of next year ( 2024 ), Hemingway, our former restaurant, will be transformed into the cocktail and wine bar. A welcome addition that allows us to let our guests experience with different hospitality concepts what hospitality and gastronomic pleasures mean to us.
We have taken inspiration for the look and decoration from various national and international bars. In addition to special cocktails and fine wines by the glass, we serve cold and hot dishes of the highest culinary standard. We are looking forward to welcoming you in "The Bar: Fancy drinks and bites" next year.
